Description

The primary function of the role is to apply wet or dry finishes to concrete members according to shop cards. Responsibilities include reviewing shop cards, preparing strand ends, cleaning and painting connection plates, removing blockouts, grinding PVC components, grouting, floating concrete, placing surface plates, and completing finishes as directed by the supervisor.

• Review shop cards for the previous day’s pour
• Saw off strand ends and apply galvanizing compound
• Burn off strand ends and apply patching material for finish requirements
• Clean concrete off connection plates and apply spray paint
• Strip off blockouts and cutbacks, salvaging woodwork as needed
• Apply grout to form sides of concrete members to fill small voids
• Apply #8 or #13 finishes to concrete members as needed
• Place surface plates or lifting devices in wet concrete

Requirements

Candidates must have at least a high school diploma or GED, with up to three months related experience or equivalent training. The position involves working outdoors in various weather conditions, exposure to moving mechanical parts, occasional wet or humid environments, vibration, and loud noise.

• Rock/grind PVC blockouts, lifting loop blockouts, cutbacks/blockouts, and washes
• Bull float or hard float wet concrete as required
• High school diploma or GED (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
• One to three months related experience and/or training
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather, near moving mechanical parts, and in loud environments
