Senior Architect

Description

• Support project managers in meeting timelines, budgets, and quality objectives
• Liaise with clients, developers, contractors, and government authorities
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior architects and architectural engineers
• Conduct and lead site inspections to ensure design intent and quality standards are met
• Ensure full compliance with UAE authorities’ regulations (DM, DDA, Trakhees, ADM, Civil Defense, etc.)
• Lead architectural design from concept through detailed design and construction stages
• Identify design risks and propose practical, cost-effective architectural solutions
• Manage and review architectural drawings, details, and specifications
• Lead authority submission processes and manage comments until approvals are obtained
• Review and approve shop drawings, material submittals, and mock-ups
• Coordinate with structural, MEP, interior design, landscape, and BIM teams

Requirements

We are seeking an experienced Senior Architect Engineer to lead the architectural design, coordination, and delivery of high-quality real estate and development projects across the UAE. The role involves managing design teams, coordinating with multi-disciplinary consultants, liaising with authorities, and ensuring projects are delivered in compliance with UAE regulations, client requirements, and consultancy standards.

Technical Skills

Leadership & Soft Skills

• Expert proficiency in AutoCAD
• In-depth knowledge of UAE building codes, zoning regulations, and authority approval processes
• Strong understanding of construction detailing, materials, and site execution
• Problem-solving attitude with commercial and practical awareness
• Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture or Architectural Engineering (Master’s degree is a plus)
• Client-focused mindset with strong coordination and negotiation skills
• Excellent communication and presentation skills in English (Arabic is a plus)
• Familiarity with visualization tools such as SketchUp, Lumion, Enscape, or similar
• Strong understanding of specifications, materials, and construction methodologies
• Strong portfolio of residential, commercial, hospitality, or mixed-use projects in the UAE
• 7–12 years of relevant experience, with minimum 3–5 years in the UAE
• Strong working knowledge of Revit (BIM) and coordination workflows
• Professional membership (RIBA, AIA, or local equivalent) is an advantage
• Proven experience working in an architectural consultancy or real estate developer environment
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously
• High level of technical accuracy and design quality control
• Experience with authority submission standards and BIM requirements
• Strong leadership and team management abilities
• MS Office and report writing skills
