Applications Engineer III

• Monitor, maintain, and modify existing process control applications and operator interfaces
• Participate actively within the operating team including molecule management, unit troubleshooting and incident investigations
• Develop and provide support for basic process control applications using basic application engineering skills such as point configuration, loop tuning, and identification of process dynamics
• Provide process control support during project development, installation, and startup
• Identify and develop new control schemes to increase process safety, operability, and profitability

o Experience with multi-variable predictive control (i.e. DMC) is a plus

o Bachelors in Engineering (Chemical is preferred); 5 to 10 years relevant work experience

o Experience with other Honeywell operations tools (DynAMo) is a plus

o Able to demonstrate initiative, teamwork, accuracy, effectiveness, and self-confidence

o Knowledge of Honeywell Experion DCS process control system is required (+5 years)

o Relevant industry experience supporting day-to-day plant operations – chemicals manufacturing , particularly olefins is preferred

o Excellent troubleshooting skills

o Demonstrated experience with regulatory and advanced controls of manufacturing processes

• On-Call availability to support emergency site events (freeze, hurricane, unplanned process event, etc.) outside of normal hours when needed.
