Acquire understanding of project management application and record completed work at the end of each day.
In the event of an accident, determine if it is an emergency and take the appropriate steps to ensure the safety of the individual, i.e., dial 911 if necessary and fill out an accident form in all cases.
Maintain assigned vehicle in good working order. Coordinate any service needed with the Construction Maintenance Supervisor.
Ensure that volunteers and family partners have a fulfilling experience.
Maintain a clean and organized jobsite and vehicle.
Ensure quality work per HFHO’s standards.
Return tools to assigned vehicle or proper storage location at the end of each day.
View your HFHO email account at least once per day.
Observe safety requirements and safe work practices and methods as required.
Ensure contractors, vendors, material providers and visitors comply with HFHO safety practices and OSHA Standards.
Maintain good communication and cooperative relationships with all other HFHO staff, departments, project teams and contractors.
Ensure volunteer compliance with the project and site safety plan.
Assist with the construction of each project in accordance with the HFHO plans, specifications, current edition of the IRC, and accepted industry standards of practice.
Show up to work on time and be prepared for the day.
Practice good stewardship with HFHO’s resources.
Provide work assignments and instruction for volunteers under the direction of site supervisor.
Maintain and protect all tools, equipment and materials.
Maintain project safety in accordance with HFHO Safety Policy and OSHA Standards.
Responsible use of equipment, tools, supplies and materials to remain within project and team budget.
Assist Senior Construction Supervisor and rest of construction team to meet the project schedule.
Develop skills to safely operate and maintain a variety of construction tools.

Complete OSHA 10 certification within one year of employment start date.
Basic knowledge of methods, materials, tools, safety practices and equipment used in the homebuilding trade is preferred.
Strong team skills are essential.

Individual must be a good communicator.
Computer literacy is necessary.
A minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent. Previous or current enrollment in construction education or training program preferred.
Proficiency in basic mathematics and conversion of measurements is required.
A valid driver’s license and excellent driving record are essential.
Complete tasks successfully that are assigned by Senior Construction Supervisor and experienced team members within allotted time-period.
Complete First Aid/CPR training within six months of employment start date.
Must be able to read a tape measure, level and follow written and verbal instructions.
