Principal, Architect - Education

Description

• Lead overall team performance, including utilization, billability, contribution, and debtors, while ensuring service quality and profitable growth.
• Develop and execute the practice’s strategy and business plan, fostering a culture of clarity and accountability.
• Recruit, set objectives, mentor and evaluate senior specialists to build a high‑performing, diverse team.
• Identify and target client opportunities, delivering service excellence to increase organic revenue and client satisfaction.
• Build and maintain enduring client relationships to understand business needs, improve retention, and drive growth.
• Direct talent identification for technical and sales capabilities, guiding individuals to appropriate development programs.
• Manage resource allocation and utilization to optimize team efficiency.
• Oversee risk identification and compliance with governance processes to ensure service excellence.
• Stay current on market trends and emerging opportunities within the education sector.
• Collaborate across Arcadis to maximize cross‑selling opportunities and foster internal cooperation.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or postgraduate qualification, with professional registration (e.g., Registered Architect) preferred.
• Minimum 18 years of relevant experience, including at least 10 years in architecture consultancy.
• Proven track record leading and implementing complex business change initiatives.
• Experience managing executive‑level business relationships and geographically dispersed teams.
• Significant involvement on large‑scale, highly complex projects.

Benefits

The position offers a salary range of $142,000‑$242,000, with actual compensation based on experience, education and other factors.
