The Manager, DC is responsible for establishing, monitoring and coordinating daily work schedules and warehouse activities; establishing inventory management systems and improvement control processes; recruiting, training, developing and reviewing employees; determining budget objectives and ensuring expenditures are in alignment with approved budget.
In this role the manager oversees daily schedules, budgets, policies, employee performance, safety, and continuous improvement across the distribution center, ensuring operations run efficiently and align with corporate goals.
Responsibilities also include overseeing maintenance of the warehouse and equipment, managing inventory through SAP and cycle‑count programs, and leading Kaizen, 5S, lean and other continuous‑improvement initiatives to enhance productivity.
- Establish and monitor daily work schedules and priorities to meet targeted goals.
- Determine budget objectives and ensure expenditures align with the approved budget.
- Coordinate warehouse activities with department heads (production, sales, records control, purchasing).
- Develop and enforce policies and procedures for safety, returns, receiving, stocking, inventory control, shipping, traffic, supply purchases, and maintenance.
- Conduct timely employee performance evaluations and address performance issues.
- Recruit, select, train, motivate, coach, develop, and retain a high-performance team.
- Ensure compliance with Health, Environment & Safety/Quality standards and maintain a safe, clean work environment.
- Inspect warehouse, vehicle fleets, and equipment; arrange testing, maintenance, repair, or replacement as needed.
- Implement inventory management systems using SAP, cycle counts, and physical counts.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives such as Kaizen, 5S, lean methodologies, and standardized work procedures.
- Attend operational, safety, and other meetings as required.

The ideal candidate possesses strong computer skills, deep knowledge of distribution‑center operations, excellent oral and written communication, solid leadership and managerial abilities, and the capacity to develop budgets, manage processes, multitask, and maintain high quality standards.
Required education includes a high school diploma or equivalent, with a bachelor’s degree preferred, along with lean experience and Six Sigma Green or Black Belt certification; at least ten years of logistics management experience is required, though equivalent education and experience combinations will be considered.
- Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, SAP, and warehouse maintenance software.
- Knowledge of distribution center practices and procedures.

- Strong leadership, administrative, organizational, and managerial abilities.
- Ability to develop and implement budgets and manage processes.
- Ability to multi-task and provide superior service with a positive attitude.
