Design stormwater management systems adapted for specific development sectors in accordance with applicable local, state, or federal regulations and conduct hydrologic analyses to support the planning, development, and permitting of these systems.
Prepare compliance and control plans, including construction and industrial Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plans (SWPPPs), Spill Prevention Control and Countermeasure (SPCC) Plans, and Soil Management Plans; and
Work with internal business development professionals and senior managers to establish and grow a sustainable client base.
Support solid waste and landfill engineering projects including landfill design, operation and maintenance, landfill permitting, leachate collection system design, landfill capacity analysis calculations, cell development and waste placement plans, cost estimates, and other operational support.
Develop and implement plans, designs, and specifications to assist clients in complying with applicable environmental regulations and in addressing their permitting challenges.
Collaborate with TRC’s team of project managers and engineers to provide broad-based engineering design and consulting services for our clients, including preparing design packages, managing budgets and schedules, and mentoring junior-level staff.

Successfully pass a drug test prior to employment or within 5 working days from date of hire.
Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills.
Current Connecticut Professional Engineer license (or ability to obtain licensure within 12 months).
Experience independently analyzing and interpreting data, site constraints, uses, and characteristics to develop design solutions.
Bachelor’s degree in civil or environmental engineering from an accredited university.
A fundamental knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D, or similar, to competently work with junior-level engineers using this software.
A strong understanding of local, state, and federal permitting.
A valid Connecticut driver’s license.
Minimum 8 years of proven engineering experience including relevant experience with design, permitting, and construction of landfill and solid waste projects.
Ability to travel (typically 10 to 15%) throughout the US, primarily in New England; and
