What you would be doing

  • Review month-end financial packs delivered by operating divisions and understand variances against budget.
  • Manage intercompany elimination process and prepare and post elimination journals.
  • Open and close ledgers for the operating divisions.
  • Prepare and post statutory consolidation adjustments including supporting workings.
  • Prepare and post consolidation journals.
  • Manage parent company ledgers throughout the month including recording and monitoring of ad-hoc costs.
  • Prepare monthly Board pack and related key financial schedules including analysis of in month and year to date results.
  • Prepare monthly consolidated management accounts, including full consolidated income statement, balance sheet, cash flow and segmental analysis.
  • Prepare the subsidiary and hold company financial statements under FRS 101.
  • Prepare consolidated annual financial statements and supporting financial schedules under IFRS.

  • Proven experience in a business or finance environment.
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience in application of technical accounting standards.
  • Experience of general ledger and consolidation systems; knowledge and experience of Dynamics 365 an advantage.
  • CIMA/CA/ACCA/ICAS or equivalent qualification or qualified by experience.
  • Experience with Group consolidations an advantage.
  • Experience with month-end/year end close process.
  • Excellent organisational skills with ability to prioritise competing demands.
  • Thorough practical understanding of management accounting principles and techniques.
  • Familiarity with all Microsoft packages with advanced excel skills.
