The Assembler will timely and accurately build sub‑assemblies and assemblies to customer specifications for Power Distribution Units (PDU) and Transformers. Work includes complex and repetitive wiring and mechanical tasks, following Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). The role requires using cranes to move transformers and materials, performing visual inspections before and after assembly, and employing fixtures, gauges, hand and power tools to assemble, adjust, or repair products.
Assembly duties involve point‑to‑point wiring of PDUs, sheet‑metal work to construct transformer legs and related components, and inspecting completed assemblies to ensure compliance with quality standards. The assembler must make necessary adjustments to meet quality goals, adhere to company, environmental, health, and safety regulations, and suggest process and safety improvements. Maintaining calibrated machines and tools and practicing 5S housekeeping are also essential.
Candidates must be able to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship and reside within a 50‑mile radius of the work location (active‑duty military are exempt). A High School Diploma or GED, experience in production, packaging or construction, and prior work with SOPs and electrical assembly are required. Additional qualifications include basic computer skills, ability to read SOPs, wiring diagrams and bills of material, willingness to work overtime or weekends, ability to lift 40 lb, operate a crane after training, stand for extended periods, and use hand tools and metal‑working equipment.
