Assist in creating and tracking RFIs and correspondences to the owners.
Review project specifications and prepare/track submittal packages accordingly.
Participate in vendor proposal solicitation, prepare subcontract documents and purchase orders.
Perform daily quantity review with Superintendent and Job Foreman, maintain records, prepare progress reports and notify Project Manager of anticipated overruns/underruns.
Maintain all project records and documents.
Review and approve material and supplier invoices for the project on a regular basis to ensure conformance with actual work performed and bid estimates.
Review subcontractor invoices for accuracy/compliance and report discrepancies to Project Manager.
Visit project site multiple times a week to observe, measure and control progress.
Be responsible for timely procurement of permits and submission of lane closure requests.
Develop project look-ahead schedules and coordinate activities with Job Foreman.
Review project plans, assist in ensuring work is completed properly and track completion of work on project plans.
Track and enter job cost information on a daily basis and assist in tracking productivity.
Assist in ordering job materials to ensure the proper quantities are delivered in accordance with project needs.
Participate in ensuring the highest level of safety across all tasks and projects, maintain project safety records, make periodic jobsite safety inspections and record/file all findings.

Experience in Heavy Construction (site-work, roads or environmental) is preferred.
Minimum of a B.S. Degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Engineering and 2 to 3 years of related work experience.
Ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced environment; able to accurately process written documents; able to multitask, prioritize and perform duties in a timely manner; be highly organized and able to interface and communicate effectively with company, clients and field personnel at all levels.
Must be capable of meeting deadlines, self-motivated, detail oriented, excellent interpersonal skills and have excellent follow-through capability.
Verbal and written communication skills are essential to this position.
