ILS Manager

Join our Downer Professional Services team and play a key role in delivering complex defence and national security projects that safeguard Australia’s future.

• Mentorship & Team Development: Provide support and guidance to ILS Team members, fostering capability growth and effective resource management.
• Leadership & Oversight: Lead, manage, and report on all ILS Team outputs, functions, and responsibilities, including administrative tasks and strategic planning.
• ILS Deliverables Management: Oversee the delivery, review, and endorsement of all ILS-related plans and contract deliverables, including the Integrated Logistics Support Plan (ILSP).
• Export Control & Compliance: Manage export controls for the SHFC Program, ensuring regulatory compliance across logistics activities.
• Stakeholder Engagement & Representation: Represent the SHFC ILS function at management forums and meetings, ensuring alignment with program objectives.

Due to the nature of the work, you are required to currently hold and maintain a minimum Negative Vetting 1 or higher Security clearance as required by the Commonwealth. In some instances, compliance with International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) requirements may also be an inherent requirement.

• Leadership & Team Development: Proven capability in logistics leadership roles with the ability to coach teams through strategic implementation and change management.
• Stakeholder Engagement & Communication: Strong interpersonal skills with a track record of effective collaboration and communication across internal and external Defence stakeholders.
• Relevant Qualifications & Defence Experience: Tertiary qualifications in logistics management and demonstrated experience in Defence sustainment, procurement, and ASDEFCON suite application.
• Strategic Resource Stewardship: Ability to manage project resources efficiently and seek continuous improvement to enhance CASG’s operational capacity and value for money.
