  • Work directly with state agencies, municipalities, and design/build contractors to develop tailored solutions.
  • Play a key role in business development efforts, leading/assisting proposals, engaging with clients and presenting innovative solutions.
  • Project Management or assisting a Project Manager for preparation of construction documents including plans, specifications, and engineer’s estimate for projects and assignments of varying complexity and scope in accordance with the design standards (i.e., AASHTO, MaineDOT, MassDOT, VTRANS) and meeting department’s procedures
  • Oversee and review engineering reports, calculations, and drawings for accuracy and compliance.
  • Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior engineers.
  • Lead the structural design of complex and conventional transportation infrastructure, including bridges, tunnels, and walls.

  • Licensed Professional Engineer (Maine PE or ability to obtain within 6 months).
  • Demonstrated experience of collaboration in a diverse and inclusive team, working together toward technical excellence.
  • Experience with MaineDOT or MassDOT projects is highly preferred.
  • Expertise in structural analysis software such as SAP2000, CSI Bridge, VBridge, LEAP Bridge, LPile, and more.
  • Strong commitment to innovation by creating new and better ways to solve clients’ toughest challenges.
  • Development of calculations using Excel and Mathcad. Experience with AutoCAD and/or MicroStation.
  • Experience with regional, state and federal transportation agency procedures strongly preferred.
  • 10+ years of structural design experience in bridges and transportation infrastructure.
  • Master’s degree is a plus.
  • Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering (EAC/ABET accredited).
