- Lead the review of design deliverables, including constructability, value engineering and safety in design considerations.
- Manage technical consultants, contractors, and third-party reviewers to ensure timely and high-quality outputs.
- Review and approve technical deliverables including design packages, specifications, and reports.
- Represent the technical team in client meetings, regulatory discussions, and public forums.
- Establish and maintain a high-quality multi-discipline team of engineering specialists and provide overall leadership, direction and motivation.
- Coordinate across all the engineering verticals to ensure integrated and compliant design solutions.
- Monitor compliance with local and international codes, standards, and sustainability frameworks.
- Possesses full technical responsibility for interpreting, organizing, executing, and coordinating the delivery of the infrastructure design.
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to knowledge transfer across the team.
- Coordinate with Project Stakeholders and undertake presentations as required, including Stage Gate Reviews.
- Establish and maintain Engineering Management Plans & Procedures.
- Support interface management between design, construction, operations, and external stakeholders.
- Assist the Technical Director in leading the overall technical strategy and execution of the infrastructure program.
- Management and accountability for the timely delivery of all design submissions.
- Establish and maintain robust engineering progress and performance measurement processes & reports.
- Support procurement processes by contributing to technical scopes, evaluation criteria, and contract reviews.
- Lead technical risk assessments and mitigation planning.
- Ensure compliance with the Customer’s project governance procedures & requirements.
