Pauley Construction provides construction services across multiple industries, focusing on infrastructure and specialized projects.
Manage office operations, enforce policies, support staff and engineering functions.
Ensures work is completed and documented in appropriate billing system
Assists engineering team with material order requests
Works closely with Engineering Leadership Team as needed to solve problems as they arise
May be required to work over-time; after hours; on weekends or be on-call as work is needed to ensure work is completed.
Assists in performing evaluations of direct reports and conducting routine meetings to ensure employee growth.
Assists with purchase orders, tool and field equipment inventory
Assists in ensuring all tasks are completed as required by corporate or local operations management
Helps coordinate safety meetings
Duties outlined in this position will require the employee to stand, crouch, sit, bend, and use hands and fingers to handle or feel as well as reaching with hands and arms to spaces both high and low.
Assists with new hire position requests including system access; paperwork and I-9 documentation
Enforces companywide policies and procedures to ensure compliance among office staff
Manages and assists with paid time off requests, time sheets and any payroll related items
May assist in month-end closing procedures
Assists in coordination of engineering department meetings and development opportunities
Helps ensure team development and growth of department
Manages department calendar
Acts as point of contact for subcontractors, employees, customers and the public as needed
Ensures all required training in the engineering department is up-to-date and compliant with corporate requirements
Assists with completing maintenance requests for repairs of equipment

Ability to read, understand and interpret documents such as safety rules and requirements, machine manuals of operation and process procedures. Ability to write information including reports. Ability to speak effectively to customers, vendors and coworkers up through all levels of management and staff as well as the general public.
Must have general computer knowledge.
Specific vision abilities required to perform this job include but are not limited to: close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus potentially near and/or far as needed.

2 – 4 years of office leadership experience including personnel development and oversight

Ability to calculate figures and amounts (measurements in terms of distance, proportions, percentages and area. Ability to apply concepts of basic mathematics including algebra and geometry.
Employees performing these job functions are required to lift or move up to 10 pounds and may frequently lift or move up to 50 pounds in a shift with assistance.
