Tasks

-Support maintenance, calibration, purchase, and certification of equipment. -Maintain laboratory certifications for CCIL and CMEC. -Promote safe work practices for laboratory activities. -Mentoring, coaching and training of technical staff as required. -Perform advanced laboratory testing on soils and concrete -Perform quality control reviews of laboratory testing and reporting. -Perform laboratory testing of soils, rock, aggregate, concrete and asphalt.

What You Bring

-Strong focus on Health and Safety. -Have experience with laboratory soil, concrete, and asphalt testing procedures. -Current registration with TechNova or Engineers Nova Scotia and hold designation as C.Tech., C.E.T., P.Tech.(Eng.) -CCIL Certification for soils, concrete, and asphalt would be and asset. -Have knowledge of soil, concrete and asphalt sampling techniques and construction methodology. -Excellent interpersonal and organizational abilities. -Demonstrate initiative and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment. -Willingness to be a team player with a strong ability to work independently. -Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
