  • Design training programs for new hire and tenured employees within roles, leveraging content from SaaS learning team along with partnering with the global team members.
  • Investigate new opportunities and develop effective training that is impactful and inventive.
  • Learn on a day-to-day basis about how Johnson Controls products and technology support our customers’ business objectives and are propelling the industry forward.
  • Directly impact key performance indicators such as digital (SaaS) opportunity growth, digital (SaaS) adoption and retention rate etc.
  • Evaluate existing programs for effectiveness, and redesign solutions when necessary; leverage a variety of measurement and evaluation techniques to obtain and use data to drive your learning curriculum impact
  • Collaborate with and support a strong global team environment.
  • Act as a trusted learning consultant to sales, product, engineering, and customer success teams, ensuring content reflects real business needs
  • Provides constructive feedback to learners on their understanding of new materials and their performance in the classroom.
  • Impact frontline employees and leaders to build new skills, improve their ways of working and strengthen their performance.
  • Immerse yourself in the end-to-end process of identifying a business need, partnering with sponsors to design training and change solutions, and ensuring effective learning gets delivered to audiences and maintained over time.
  • Turn in and maintain records, prepare reports as required.
  • Build and monitor training roadmap for specific roles with area of focus
  • Apply the JCI learning design approach to provide blended learning solutions for the learners that can be easily updated and repurposed to stay current with product, sales tools and process changes
  • Facilitates learning of materials, processes, systems that have advanced level content and/or facilitate learning in multiple areas of expertise.
  • Build strong relationships with key stakeholders within each of the stakeholder departments, including Management and Subject Matter Experts (SMEs).
  • Arranges for an appropriate learning environment for the presentation of material, which may include room arrangement, audiovisual equipment, technical equipment, web access, handouts, etc.
  • Evaluates the on-the-job effectiveness of former class participants as appropriate.
  • Lead the update and continuous development of sales learning curriculum and learning journeys
  • Deliver engaging learning experiences through formal training programs, product walkthroughs, and interactive sessions
  • Develops subject matter expertise in new sales methodologies, technology, products, or processes and be the subject matter expert in the development of learning materials for these new areas using the Learning & Development Process.
  • Align your ingenuity and innovative ideas with the global strategic plan of the business.
  • Hold learner interviews, focus groups, needs analyses and develop personas to identify and address learning needs.
  • Contribute to the evolution of our global sales learning strategy by bringing insights from facilitation, coaching, and learner engagement
  • Project manage the training programs end-to-end while interfacing with internal and external partners to achieve program objectives
  • Drive digital (SaaS) learning excellence by using data to lead engaging and effective learning / enablement solutions.
  • Continuously updates and improves delivery and coaching skills including the use of new technologies for sharing knowledge and building skills.
  • Leverage innovative learning technologies and platforms to deploy learning, including the Johnson Controls Learning Hub, LMS (Learning Management System), and uLearn
  • Maintain current knowledge of trends and issues in learning design, training, and technical field operations acting as a thought leader and finding ways to iterate on your solutions.
  • Delivers learning sessions, which may include live classroom sessions and web-based learning sessions (synchronous or asynchronous). Flexes instruction and facilitation style and approach to fit the needs of the audience, the content, and the technology.
  • Builds true partnerships with other learning designers, program managers, and business partners.
  • Reports results of measurements and evaluations to appropriate Program Leaders, Learning and Development Managers. Develops and presents recommendations for continuous improvements to sales and business training.
  • Identify, assess, and analyze business requirements and training gaps to design effective learning solutions
  • Translate complex technical concepts into practical, learner-friendly experiences, you’ll help sales teams not only understand our solutions but also drive revenue growth and customer satisfaction

  • 4+ years in Training Development and Delivery
  • Work very closely with team members to collaborate on design and development. Need your ability to flex on time, as we have a global team
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Instructional Design, Education, Adult Learning, Engineering, or related learning or technical discipline.
  • Strong writing and communication skills.
  • Previous experience as a sales professional (solution/value-based selling) or as a skilled facilitator delivering impactful learning programs.
  • 5-7 years in Sales Training, Sales Engineering, Sales Enablement and / or smart building/SaaS-related sales.
  • Thinks outside the box, creative and forward thinking; constantly looking forward at new technologies or ideas.
  • Realizes the importance of details in leading to impactful outcomes.
  • JCI’s portfolio of products is complex, so we need someone who is quick to grasp how building environments are created and business lines organized. Knowledge of HVAC, Fire, and Security equipment and related technologies, products and market is a huge plus.
  • Experience designing or delivering training around smart building solutions, BAS, or cloud-based platforms.
  • Ability to travel up to 35%
  • Willing to assume authority, take risks, and set clear goals for career development.
  • Master’s degree in related field.
  • Must be confident presenting and facilitating with diverse global audiences, comfortable working across different cultures and time zones.
  • Very comfortable with grey areas; can adapt and change to meet business needs.
  • Ability to connect with learners while enabling change. Understanding of human-centered needs to allow individual growth through learning and personal development.
  • Translate complex smart building SaaS concepts into clear, compelling learning that sticks.
