Description
The Senior Project Manager will be accountable for delivering projects that meet client program expectations and the firm’s mission and vision, exercising independent judgment while reporting to the Director of Project Management.
- Lead and manage manufacturing/industrial design projects from inception to close‑out, ensuring alignment with client goals and firm standards.
- Define and document project scope, goals, and limitations; develop scope of work and prepare proposals, contracts, and bid specifications.
- Create detailed project schedules, milestones, and cost projections; establish and control project budgets, reporting status and profit variance.
- Allocate and coordinate internal staff and external consultants, communicating expectations to all stakeholders.
- Conduct risk assessments and implement risk mitigation throughout the project lifecycle.
- Produce and review bid documents, Instructions to Bidders, General and Supplementary Conditions, and Specification Division I.
- Generate regular project status reports, cost and profit forecasts, and maintain comprehensive project documentation and records.
- Collaborate with accounting to ensure timely invoicing and accurate accounts payable.
- Mentor and motivate project team members, including consultants and junior staff; supervise project administrator and support trainee development.
- Perform site visits to monitor construction progress, review RFIs, issue ASIs and PRs, and attend construction meetings.
- Ensure quality control by participating in QC reviews and adhering to BRPH Systems Manuals.
Requirements
The firm is seeking a Senior Project Manager (Professional Engineer) to lead manufacturing and industrial design projects from its Melbourne or Orlando, Florida offices. Candidates must hold a PE or architect license and possess extensive experience in managing such projects.
Applicants must have a bachelor’s degree in architecture, engineering, or a construction‑related discipline, at least eight years of relevant experience, and be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship. A current professional license and proficiency with Microsoft Windows, Excel, Project, and Word are required.
