Internal Bookkeeper

Description

The successful candidate will work closely with project managers, the operations team, and external accountants during audits or tax preparation, supporting smooth financial operations across the organization.

• Maintain and update accurate financial records, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger entries.
• Reconcile bank statements and monitor cash flow to ensure smooth financial operations.
• Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports and provide insights for budgeting and forecasting.
• Generate, review, and manage invoices, ensuring timely payment from clients and vendors.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local financial legal requirements, including tax filings and reporting.
• Monitor and categorize expenses related to projects and operational costs.
• Collaborate with project managers, the operations team, and external accountants during audits or tax preparation.
• Manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
• Communicate effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders.

• Use accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks) and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
• Apply strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
• Exhibit excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Hold an associate’s or bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (preferred).
