Assists production staff with preparation of ingredients for entrees.
Assists production in the preparation and service of various foods in assigned work situations including pantry items, soups, sauces, poultry and fish items.
Performs daily cleaning and sanitation tasks
Assists cooks in the preparation of basic dessert items as well as breakfast items for residents and patients.

Work Experience: A minimum of six months experience as a prep cook in a hotel, restaurant, club, or similar institution.
Certification in food handling (or within six months of hire)
Skills/Certification: Knowledge of kitchen equipment operations and maintenance. Some knowledge of nutrition and diet. Ability to plan and organize work, to interpret instructions, recipes, specifications and standards.
High school diploma
Ability to understand and follow instructions in English, communicates effectively, and performs simple arithmetic. Ability to understand measurements and conversions.
