Experience with standards and processes in specialised fields (e.g. highways, railways) is desirable.
Good knowledge of UK ground conditions and ground investigation practices.
Delivery : We require ambitious team players with the technical and commercial skills, knowledge and experience to manage tasks and assist the team with the delivery of projects, ensuring technical quality and adherence to budget and programme.
Demonstrable understanding of current design codes, standards, and best practices in geotechnical design, but also open to exploring new methods and innovations.
Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to write clear and concise technical reports and documents.
Knowledge of typical ground conditions interpretation/parametric assessment and correlation methods applicable to common geotechnical design problems.
Chartered Engineer (IEng/CEng) status is desirable, or you have a plan and are on track to achieve this. The team will provide the necessary support to achieve this.
Familiarity with data management software (e.g. gINT, Open Ground) would be advantageous.
Candidates should be willing to travel throughout the UK.
Ability to collaborate closely in project delivery, work winning and maintaining high levels of client satisfaction.
Experience in the design, specification and management of ground investigation (remotely and in the field).
BEng / MEng in Civil Engineering or BSc and/or MSc in Geotechnical Engineering.
Experience in geotechnical design (e.g. earthworks, foundations, retaining structures, slope stabilisation) with strong analytical skills and some experience in the use of relevant design software (e.g. Slope/W, Wallap).
Clean driving licence.
Familiarity with the production of geotechnical analysis and design packages, including drawings, risk assessments, specifications and design reports.
