The Floater position is responsible for maintaining a clean, organized, and disinfected workplace across various building areas.
The employee must manage cleaning supplies, keep records of completed tasks, and promptly report unsafe conditions or maintenance needs.
- Clean interior surfaces including floors, carpets, rugs, windows, walls, and furniture.
- Vacuum, sweep, and mop all office areas, hallways, lobbies, lounges, elevators, stairs, and locker rooms.
- Dust lighting fixtures, marble surfaces, and moldings; remove stains from upholstered furniture.
- Empty, clean, and replace trash cans and ashtrays.
- Disinfect high‑touch items such as desks, door handles, office tools, and phones.
- Clean and restock restrooms, and wash windows and mirrors.
- Empty trash and recycling containers and remove trash or snow from sidewalks when required.
- Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and request replenishments as needed.
- Record completed cleaning tasks on a chart and report unsafe conditions or maintenance needs.
- Follow safety and precaution rules, lift up to 50 lb, and close doors at the end of night shift.
