Ensure that all assigned maintenance tasks are performed safely and by site operating procedures established for Storage/Solar PV sites.
Complete all required training in a satisfactory manner and timeframe.
Perform current and voltage readings, as necessary.
Monitor the activities of maintenance contractors and ensure corrective actions where appropriate.
Identify gaps in safety standards and safety risks in the environment.
Interface with any third-party contractors working at our facilities.
Test, maintain, and troubleshoot solar PV & battery storage electrical equipment.
Proactively look for improvement opportunities to job appropriate processes and procedures.
Work in extreme weather conditions
Perform data collection and prepare reports to meet reporting requirements.
Perform balance of plant and switchyard work as required.
Ensure site access, site HSE, security, deliveries, and inspections are performed by site protocols.
At times, may assist with BOP activities.
Perform maintenance on BESS, trackers, inverters, and other PV electrical equipment as assigned by the Site Supervisor or Lead.
Document all work and generate reports, as necessary.
Use available tools to monitor energy output and respond quickly to emergencies or situations requiring immediate troubleshooting and corrective actions.

Available to respond to nontraditional operating hours for operations, maintenance, and emergent issues, including emergent abnormal operating conditions, execution of maintenance, tracking work orders, resolution of O&M issues.
Associate degree in engineering or related Science from an accredited US school other than correspondence or internet preferred.
Knowledge of environmental and safety policies and procedures.
Must be skilled in at least one of the following: power plant operations, electrical and mechanical equipment maintenance; substations maintenance; power plant safety protocols.
Ability to work within tight deadlines.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Minimum two years of work experience in operations and maintenance of power generation, transmission, and distribution. Preference will be given to the candidate with some renewable energy experience, preferably solar and battery storage.
Knowledge of and experience with the use of hand and power tools.
High School Diploma or equivalent required
Ability to push/pull/lift tools and equipment weighing up to and over 50 lbs.
Ability and willingness to travel to and from job sites as assigned.
Frequent oral and written communications.
Routine operation of a computer/tablet and other office productivity machineries, such as a calculator, copy machine, and computer printer.
First aid/CPR/AED
Willing to relocate to within 1 hour drive of site.
This position is a combined field and office-based role with some travel and visits to other RWECE office and field locations. The employee must be able to sit, walk, or stand for long durations of time.
Ability to walk, climb, and stand extensively during the workday.
Unrestricted driver license in good standing
Complete Lock-Out-Tag-Out (LOTO), JSA’s, Permit to Work, and job-specific documentation that is required to conduct maintenance and repairs in a safe manner.
