Description

• Identify and develop relationships with key data‑center and electrical clients.
• Manage virtual and in‑person sales meetings.
• Execute outbound campaigns (calls, emails) to generate opportunities.
• Prepare and deliver customized presentations to prospective clients.
• Build rapport with decision‑makers and maintain long‑lasting client relationships.
• Cultivate industry partnerships with joint‑venture partners, A/E firms, subcontractors, and community leaders.
• Analyze partnership strengths and advise management on optimal strategies.
• Participate in industry outreach events to generate local contacts and project leads.
• Maintain a pipeline sufficient to meet revenue and sales targets.
• Develop short‑, mid‑, and long‑term sales forecasts for management and the Board.
• Own the full sales lifecycle from prospecting through implementation.
• Track construction projects throughout all lifecycle phases.
• Identify and address inconsistencies in contract specifications to mitigate risk.

Requirements

Shimmick is looking for a highly talented Business Development Executive to drive growth for its electrical division, Axia Electric. The role will focus on expanding the company’s presence in the data‑center and industrial electrical markets.

• Hold a Bachelor’s degree and at least 10 years of relevant experience.
• possess 5+ years of regional or national electrical sales, estimating, or operations experience.
• Travel 70%–80% of the time as required.
• Demonstrate business‑development experience in data‑center or electrical industrial construction.
• Understand commercial contract terms and manage contract risk.
