This individual will collaborate with a cross‑functional set of stakeholders across the business to drive improvements in operational buyers' roles within the Center of Excellence. They will understand material requirements, process requisitions, and issue purchase orders to suppliers. Working closely with suppliers, they will ensure on‑time delivery of material to the plant.
The role includes executing exception messages such as postponements, anticipations, or cancellations and managing internal escalations. KPI monitoring of internal teams will be performed, with action plans developed to mitigate risks and close gaps. The individual will resolve internal discrepancies with operations and external issues with suppliers, including delivery, claims, and quality problems. Coordination with logistics partners and suppliers will ensure material delivery according to incoterms.
Supplier performance (SOTD) will be evaluated and corrective or preventive actions implemented to improve on‑time performance. Purchasing escalations will be addressed by working with suppliers and the sourcing team to expedite shortages, identify root causes, and lead improvement projects.
