Key duties include cleaning exterior areas such as sidewalks, parking lots, courtyards, and landscaping by sweeping, blowing, and removing trash, pet waste, and debris. Inside, the Porter cleans lobbies, hallways, stairwells, laundry rooms, fitness centers, restrooms, windows, and glass surfaces while restocking supplies like toilet paper, soap, and paper towels. Trash receptacles are emptied regularly and bulk waste is removed according to recycling procedures.
The Porter interacts with residents and visitors in a friendly, professional manner, addressing concerns and providing assistance such as carrying items or giving directions. Seasonal responsibilities may involve snow and ice removal, leaf blowing, or pressure washing. All work is performed following safety guidelines, with any hazards reported immediately to supervisors.
Applicants need a high school diploma or GED, basic English proficiency, and the ability to use a smart device and Microsoft Office for communication. Prior custodial or general maintenance experience is preferred, and the role requires frequent standing, walking, bending, heavy lifting (over 50 lb), and occasional operation of heavy machinery. The schedule is a five‑day onsite workweek that may include weekend coverage.
The position offers an hourly wage ranging from $20.67 to $27.40, with new hires typically starting between $20.67 and $23.56.
