The Midlands‑based Project Commissioning Engineer will be responsible for engineering, installing and commissioning both small and large fire‑detection and security projects across the UK portfolio. The role requires planning, client liaison and strict adherence to health, safety and quality standards while ensuring projects are delivered profitably and on schedule.
- Engineer, install and commission fire detection and security projects of varying scale.
- Plan and control project schedules, labour and material resources to meet deadlines and budgets.
- Liaise with clients to ensure programme milestones are achieved while maintaining profitability.
- Conduct site surveys, installation inspections and system performance testing for compliance.
- Provide technical support and guidance to field engineers and project team members.
- Ensure all work complies with health, safety and quality standards.
- Produce accurate commissioning documentation and detailed technical reports.
- Deliver training and operational guidance to end‑users and client staff.
- Participate in site and project meetings, offering expertise across the project lifecycle.
- Manage and allocate tasks to engineers and subcontractors, including performance oversight.
- Monitor project profitability, report progress to the Project Manager and enforce budget adherence.
- Perform hands‑on installation, commissioning and minor works as needed.
- Promote and uphold Marlowe’s quality, safety and environmental standards.

We are looking for engineers with at least three years of experience commissioning security systems, solid technical knowledge of leading platforms such as Galaxy, Gent, Notifier and Kentec, and a proven track record on single‑site and multi‑site projects. An NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Electrical/Electronic Engineering is desirable, together with strong communication skills and the ability to build positive working relationships.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience commissioning security systems in diverse environments.
- In‑depth knowledge of systems such as Galaxy, Gent, Notifier and Kentec.
- NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Electrical/Electronic Engineering (desirable).
- Proven delivery of engineering projects on single‑site and multi‑site locations.
- Strong technical background with excellent communication and relationship‑building skills.
- Solid understanding of major fire and security systems with a record of complex project involvement.
