Tasks

-Preparation of project specifications and contract documents -Design of civil systems associated with municipal water and/or wastewater /drainage conveyance facilities -Perform constructability reviews, contract administration, construction inspections -Assistance with proposal preparation; coordination with regulatory agencies, project planning, budgeting, and scheduling -Prepare construction cost estimates -Prepare documentation for design projects and reports

What You Bring

-Experience in proposal writing and job scoping -Familiarity with hydraulic models including for green infrastructure -Ability to communicate effectively with colleagues, contractors and clients -MMCD Contract Administration certification -Comfortable working in a multi-disciplinary environment -6+ years of experience with civil engineering, hydraulic modelling, planning, design construction inspection, contract administration -Bachelor's degree in civil engineering -Excellent attention to detail -Proficient with MS Office Suite -4+ years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education in hydraulic modelling, planning, design construction inspection, contract administration -Working knowledge of blue and green infrastructure: ponds, wetlands, bioswales, raingardens, etc. -Training and experience in project management -Familiarity with Hydraulic Modelling platforms -Sponsorship for Canadian employment authorization is not available for this position. -Valid BC Driver's License and access to a vehicle -Working knowledge of water / wastewater / drainage conveyance infrastructure in a Municipal environment, including both gravity and pressurized systems -Excellent written skills needed for technical reports -Eligible for registration as a P.Eng with EGBC or within 6 months of hire
