The Low Voltage Project Technician role involves installing, troubleshooting, and repairing structured cabling systems across a variety of environments nationwide. This full‑time position requires travel, flexibility to work night and day shifts, and a willingness to support other structured‑cabling projects as needed. Technicians must be self‑motivated, reliable, and capable of working independently to find solutions and complete jobs.
- Willingness to start on night shift and transition to day shift.
- Experience as a data cable technician with a strong background in structured cabling.
- Current state‑required low‑voltage licenses (burglar alarm, fire alarm, security, CCTV).
- Ability to travel extensively and work on‑call, day or night.
- Proficient in reading blueprints and site maps.
- Knowledge of CCTV, voice, and fire‑alarm cabling (preferred).
- Ability to identify color codes and work in cramped spaces.
- Experience with copper and fiber cabling.
- Capability to operate boom or scissor lifts and work at heights.
- Own PPE, basic telecom and hand tools.
- Strong verbal and written communication and customer relationship skills.
- Proficient with email, spreadsheets, and learning internal systems.
- Experience with conduit installation (preferred).
- Valid driver’s license with a clean record (no DUI/DWI in the past three years).
- MD Live, TriaHealth, legal and identity‑theft monitoring.
