As a Talent Acquisition Specialist you will play a key role in our recruitment process, supporting regions across the organization. You will be responsible for identifying, attracting, assessing and hiring top‑tier candidates for high‑volume and critical roles, utilizing various networks and sourcing strategies. This contributes to Reliance’s growth and revenue targets by bringing top talent to the company.

• Implement proactive recruitment strategy to identify and attract top candidates.
• Source passive and active candidates at various levels through networking and direct contact.
• Establish screening criteria and develop a scoring matrix for assessment methods, including competency‑based interviews.
• Develop recruitment schedules and strategies to locate the most qualified candidates.
• Screen and assess resumes, administer assessments (behavioural competency interviews), and present shortlists.
• Act as an expert on recruitment trends by maintaining and enhancing industry networks and participating in events.
• Take a consultative approach with internal clients to provide business solutions.
• Identify innovative sources of recruitment.
• Track analytical data on hiring process metrics such as sourcing effectiveness and time‑to‑hire.
• Build and share new processes to increase recruitment effectiveness at Reliance.
• Manage or participate in HR projects as needed.

Requirements

• Post‑secondary education or equivalent experience in talent acquisition/recruitment.
• 2–5 years of recruitment/sourcing experience, preferably in skilled trades.
• Ability to travel across Ontario and hold a valid driver’s license.
• Proven track record of meeting and exceeding hiring targets.
• Strong knowledge of social media and tools to engage passive talent.
• Expertise with Boolean search and internet mining techniques (preferred).
• Demonstrated success in building relationships with stakeholders.
• Organized, detail‑oriented, and proactive.
• Customer‑centric attitude with sense of urgency.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
• Well‑networked and highly engaging with all stakeholders.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, LinkedIn, Indeed, and other recruitment tools.
