The Business Partner III for the Construction Business Unit is a strategic leader and trusted advisor who bridges business needs and technology capabilities. The role ensures the construction team has the digital tools, data, and systems needed to execute projects efficiently, safely, and on schedule. It works closely with construction management, field operations, engineering, and procurement to define requirements, streamline processes, and drive digital transformation.
In the strategic business engagement function, the Business Partner serves as the primary IT point of contact for construction leadership and field operations. They understand key performance drivers, challenges, and operational workflows in project execution, EPC coordination, and site management, and identify opportunities to optimize processes with scalable technology solutions.
Solution planning and implementation involves collaborating with platform owners, developers, and third‑party vendors to evaluate, prioritize, and deliver construction‑focused systems such as field productivity tools, project controls, scheduling, and progress tracking. Enhancements to tools like Primavera P6, document control systems, and mobile field applications are driven, while cross‑functional initiatives with IT, engineering, supply chain, and project teams are coordinated.
Change management and user adoption responsibilities include leading efforts to onboard construction teams onto new systems and features, designing and executing training strategies for field users, site managers, and remote teams, and maintaining continuous feedback loops between business users and IT support/development.
The Business Partner partners with analytics teams to define KPIs and dashboards that provide visibility into construction performance and risk, promoting integration of field data into enterprise systems for real‑time insights and executive reporting.
Staying informed on emerging construction technologies such as drones, IoT sensors, AR/VR for safety and training, and digital twin platforms, the Business Partner advocates for scalable digital tools that enhance field communication, safety compliance, materials tracking, and schedule adherence.

Minimum qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field; four or more years of experience in IT, construction technology, or business analysis supporting capital projects; familiarity with utility‑scale energy construction; demonstrated success delivering digital solutions in a field‑centric environment; strong communication, project management, and stakeholder engagement skills; and eligibility to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.
Preferred qualifications are an MBA or MS in a related discipline and experience with tools such as Procore, SharePoint, P6, Bluebeam, Autodesk, and mobile data capture platforms.
The base pay range is $85,000 to $105,000 USD, complemented by an annual bonus of 20 %‑30 % and eligibility for Invenergy’s bonus programs. Additional benefits include medical, dental, vision insurance, a 401(k) plan, paid time off, and other employee programs.
