Mortenson is seeking an experienced Planning and Scheduling Manager for its Power Delivery Group. The role requires interacting with staff at all levels in a dynamic environment, staying flexible, proactive, and maintaining high professionalism and confidentiality. The manager will handle non‑routine planning and scheduling assignments on highly complex projects, leading and coordinating teams to implement scheduling strategies.
Sponsorship is not offered for this position, and candidates must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without visa sponsorship. Mortenson’s postings typically remain open for a minimum of five days and an average of 44 days. - Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or equivalent field.
- Minimum of eight years of construction experience or equivalent combination of training and experience.
- Advanced knowledge of scheduling concepts, principles, practices, and company software.
- Thorough knowledge of standard construction practices, project sequencing, and installation methods.
- Demonstrated creativity and mature judgment in anticipating and solving unprecedented problems on complex projects.
- Strong plan and specification reading, review, and interpretation skills.
- Knowledge of project management, buyout, and contracts.
- Working knowledge of 4D visual planning methodologies.
- Strong organization and delegation skills; ability to manage the work of others.
- Ability to deliver exceptional customer experience and achieve superior service rankings.
- Basic understanding of project estimates to assist with schedule development, cost loading, and resource loading.
- Ability to interpret and implement customer scheduling specifications and contract requirements.
- Quickly understand complex projects at the proposal stage and develop robust schedule strategies.
- Work effectively in a cross‑functional, collaborative, team‑based environment.
- Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills with initiative to seek innovative solutions.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, active listening, and openness to diverse input.

Benefits
The base salary for this position ranges from $116,900 to $175,400, with higher ranges for locations such as Denver, Chicago, Seattle, Portland, and Washington, D.C.
