Push and pull frequently throughout the day.
Walk up/down stairs frequently.
Wear PPE gear six hours continuously (steel toe shoes, safety glasses, hard hat, gloves).
Bend and stoop six hours per day.
Perform job requirements including but not limited to the following: clean hard floors, carpets, empty trash, clean stairwells, elevators, entranceways, perform dusting and polishing, clean drinking fountains, glass and restrooms, etc.
Report all problems and accidents to the supervisor upon discovery, comply with all rules and regulations on NASA property.
Work overhead with minimum 20 pound load.
Secure vehicles and equipment at the end of each shift.
Carry out work orders by the contract on a daily basis.
Climb ladders and scaffolding.
Walk six hours per day.
Report to work on time daily.

Prior knowledge of NASA site, experienced with working on government installations preferred.
Ability to work independently but follow specific detailed instructions.
Must be able to follow instructions and carry out work orders by the contract.
Must be able to pass a Pre-Employment background check and drug screen test.
Minimum of one year experience in Janitorial Services.
Ability to interface with various levels of personnel in a multi-cultural, team- oriented environment.
Must have general knowledge of safety procedures in the janitorial workplace.
Must be a U.S. Citizen in order to obtain required NASA badge.
Ability to take direction.
Ability to operate and service various rotating equipment.
Ability to distinguish different colors for MSDS-material safety data sheets purposes and identifying the proper bottle for general cleaning daily.
Must be able to provide a certified Birth Certificate (with state seal), Passport, or INS Citizenship documents on date of hire (candidate will be sent home if this paperwork is not provided upon arrival on date of hire).
Must have the ability to communicate the English language, both verbally and written, in an effective manner.
