Additionally, this role will lead efforts to migrate the site from an Enterprise Wide Network (EWN) and global authentication model to a site-level domain controller authentication model. The engineer will also develop and deploy Special Use Networks (SUN) to secure critical semiconductor manufacturing environments. The site leverages advanced AI-based semiconductor automation, equipment integration, fault detection (FDC), and advanced process control (APC) systems — requiring the implementation and support of cutting-edge infrastructure.
The selected engineer will collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and deploy innovative infrastructure and software solutions aimed at digitizing and optimizing semiconductor-related manufacturing and business operations. This position is responsible for both virtual and physical Manufacturing and Site Network Infrastructure, primarily utilizing Cisco technologies.
- Design, develop, and deploy next-generation Special Use Networks (SUN) to isolate mission-critical manufacturing operations.
- Provide operational support for on-premises network infrastructure from SD-WAN-based corporate Enterprise Wide Network (EWN) to sensor-level communications.
- Support the implementation and rollout of new network technologies, including switches, firewalls, wireless infrastructure, and monitoring tools.
- Monitor and manage network health, performance, and capacity with appropriate tools.
- Maintain detailed network documentation, including topology diagrams, configuration records, and change logs.
- Ensure network resilience, redundancy, and high availability through proper design and maintenance.
- Work with Corporate IT and Honeywell Global Security to ensure compliance with cybersecurity standards.
- Troubleshoot network performance issues across all IT/OT layers to ensure reliable and secure communication.
- Participate in cross-functional calls with site and corporate teams to resolve network-related issues.
- Attend daily tier meetings with factory systems and manufacturing operations teams to provide updates and support.
- Collaborate with process, equipment, and advanced manufacturing engineering teams to enable network-level integration and automation aligned with semiconductor frameworks.
