The Blade Repair Technician III works within a small team to prioritize and safely execute high-quality wind turbine blade maintenance and repair. Tasks include inspections, composite and fiberglass repairs, sanding, spraying, and using hanging platforms or scaffolding, often requiring vertical work and confined-space entry.
Safety is a core priority; technicians follow established protocols, conduct Job Hazard Analyses before work, and actively report unsafe conditions. The role also involves collaboration with managers, customers, engineers, and subcontractors while maintaining detailed documentation.
Candidates must have a high school diploma or GED, with an associate technical degree preferred, and hold GWO certification. At least four years of related maintenance experience, knowledge of electrical systems and wind-technology platforms, and the ability to travel domestically 76-100 % are required.
The position offers an hourly salary ranging from $32.85 to $41.06, a comprehensive benefits package effective on day one, and paid time off including parental leave. Physical demands include frequent climbing and handling of 16-30 lb loads, and applicants must pass a background check, drug test, and meet DOT medical certification requirements.
