The Senior P3 Project (Design) Lead is responsible for managing and leading the design team for public‑private partnership projects under the Alternative Financing and Procurement model, overseeing pursuit submissions and the implementation of healthcare facilities. This role requires a strong background in healthcare architecture and extensive experience managing P3/AFP projects from pursuit through implementation.
Key responsibilities include leading the design team for P3 projects with Infrastructure Ontario, managing schedules, budgets, and deliverables, and collaborating with project managers, technical experts, and other design professionals to ensure coordinated solutions. The lead will develop feasible design solutions within the P3 procurement framework, prepare drawings and specifications, present designs to clients and stakeholders, support business development activities, and coordinate with consultants and contractors. Additionally, the role involves staying current with industry trends, mentoring junior staff, and ensuring compliance with building codes and construction standards.
Qualifications include a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture or a related field, at least seven years of experience in an architectural firm or related industry, and proven experience delivering infrastructure P3 projects. Candidates must demonstrate strong design skills, excellent communication and leadership abilities, solid problem‑solving and decision‑making capabilities, and the ability to manage multiple priorities while meeting deadlines. Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and related software, as well as a thorough understanding of building codes, construction techniques, and material specifications, is required. The internal job code is DL‑P3‑04 with a salary range of $125,000‑$175,000 annually.
