Heavy Equipment Field Technician (Mechanic)

Description

• Use the T3 platform to create, assign, and monitor work orders, track service intervals, order parts, and diagnose equipment issues.
• Practice safe job practices and follow OSHA guidelines.
• Repair and maintain mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and diesel systems on rental and customer equipment.
• Train lower‑level technicians as needed.
• Document work performed electronically and maintain paperwork daily.
• Assist with equipment and parts pickup and delivery.
• Travel to customer sites for repairs while maintaining a clean service vehicle.
• Participate in year‑round OEM training and other assigned duties.

• Own required tools for the position.
• Advanced mechanical aptitude and strong tool knowledge.
• Extensive knowledge of construction equipment and ability to read schematics and diagrams.
• Superior customer service, teamwork, and verbal/written communication skills.
• High school diploma (trade school certificate preferred).
• Field service, maintenance, and repair experience preferred.
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable record; must be at least 21 years old to operate company vehicle.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 lb, stand, stoop, bend, and move freely.
• May be required to be clean‑shaven for certain worksites.
• Safety‑sensitive position; must pass a 10‑panel drug screen and background check.
