Operations & Facilities Manager

Description

• Manage vendors, service contracts, inspections, and maintenance schedules
• Coordinate small facilities projects, repairs, and layout changes as the company grows
• Keep equipment, tooling, and inventory organized, operational, and compliant
• Maintain OSHA, EHS, and general safety documentation and training logs
• Support engineering and test operations with logistics, materials handling, and setup
• Oversee daily facility operations, maintenance, and security
• Comfort supervising and coordinating work with a small team of engineers and technicians
• Open and close the facility each day and ensure all safety procedures are followed
• Enforce standards for cleanliness, order, and accountability in the shop and common areas

Requirements

• 15+ years in facilities, plant, or operations management - preferably in manufacturing, R&D, or industrial settings
• Experience in an engineering, hardware startup, or small-company environment
• Track record of taking responsibility, following through, and maintaining high standards
• Strong understanding of safety practices, equipment upkeep, and vendor management
• Familiarity with OSHA/EHS programs and documentation
• Experience with basic shop tools, forklifts, or material handling equipment
• Ability to work onsite daily in a hands-on environment
• Demonstrated experience owning day-to-day operations for a facility or site
• Prior experience coordinating light construction, tenant improvements, or build-outs
