The QA Engineer will design and create comprehensive test plans and test cases for mobile and web‑based software applications. They will execute both manual and automated test cases throughout the software lifecycle and report defects using tools such as Jira, Panaya, and Excel. Ownership includes approving releases and validating application deliveries from build teams.
Candidates must also develop dashboards and reports to convey testing progress to Delivery Leads and Product Owners. Collaboration will be close with the Lead QA Engineer, Product Owners, Solutions Delivery Leads, Solutions Architects, and partner companies as the team delivers a modern customer experience portal for Johnson Controls North America customers.
Johnson Controls is seeking a highly skilled QA Engineer to perform quality assurance on internal and customer portals. The ideal candidate has experience testing functionality and UI/UX of web and mobile applications and reporting issues to build teams. The role operates in an agile environment with onshore and offshore teammates and leadership, using iterative and cutting‑edge development and testing methods.
Qualifications include a bachelor’s degree or equivalent in computer science, engineering, or a related field, and at least three years of QA testing experience on web and mobile applications. Required skills cover automated testing tools (JMeter, Selenium, LambdaTest, LoadRunner), Jira, Azure DevOps, and preferably Panaya, as well as cloud platforms, especially Microsoft Azure. Experience with AI development tools like GitHub Copilot, Agile/Scrum practices, and strong communication and teamwork abilities are also essential.
