The Foundry Maintenance Mechanic joins the Foundry Maintenance team in Franklin, NH, working night shifts from 10 pm to 6 am. Reporting to the Foundry Maintenance Supervisor, this self‑starting individual is responsible for maintaining, testing, and repairing electrical/electronic, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems and components.
Key duties include troubleshooting and repairing equipment such as programmable controls, power supplies, drives, gauges, and test equipment; installing, starting up, and shutting down machinery following safety and OSHA procedures; advising operators and line mechanics on safe operation; maintaining performance and maintenance records; performing preventive maintenance; and assisting or training other maintenance personnel. The role also involves taking on additional projects as assigned and traveling up to 10 % for training.
Candidates must have at least three years of proven experience in electrical/electronic, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic fields, along with strong PLC programming and computer skills. They should thrive in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment, possess thorough knowledge of electronic components and diagnostic tools, communicate clearly with all personnel, and be willing to work overtime when required. Adherence to all relevant laws, codes, safety practices, and successful completion of background checks are also required.
Preferred qualifications include experience with cutting, welding, and fabrication, as well as flexibility to cover other shifts. The role is performed on‑site in a manufacturing facility, requiring the ability to stand for long periods, lift and carry up to 35 lb, push and pull similar weights, move around the production floor, read documents, and wear personal protective equipment such as safety shoes, hearing protection, and safety glasses. Employment is at‑will, allowing either the employee or Watts to terminate the relationship at any time for lawful reasons.
