Providing innovative energy solutions for a sustainable, electrified future.
The role focuses on designing high‑voltage substations to support renewable energy integration, AI data‑center construction, and transportation electrification. Engineers will join a global team that delivers sustainable power solutions worldwide, while being encouraged to innovate and continuously improve.
Key duties include leading GIS (gas‑insulated switchgear) substation projects from concept through installation, converting customer requirements into engineered designs, and producing substation layouts and technical documentation. The engineer will also coordinate material orders, fabrication, and installation plans, drive design optimization, and ensure compliance with ISO, environmental, and safety standards.
Applicants should hold a bachelor’s degree in electrical, mechanical, or industrial engineering and have at least five years of experience with substations, high‑voltage equipment, or heavy‑industry engineering. Proficiency with 2D/3D CAD tools such as Creo and AutoCAD, strong project‑management and communication skills, and familiarity with Microsoft Office are required; occasional travel for customer and site meetings is expected.
Hitachi Energy offers global career development, continuous learning, and a culture that values creativity, collaboration, and inclusion.
