Candidates must also possess a valid driver's license and have the physical ability to perform the job duties.
Must be familiar with specialized software and equipment used to program fire alarm systems, and have knowledge of local, state, and federal regulations governing these systems.
Completion of a degree or certification program in a related field may also be required.
Ability to work flexible hours including weekends to meet customer requirements.
Experience in fire alarm system programming, testing, and troubleshooting.
Must have the ability to work independently and as part of a team is essential, as is excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Able to work in unusual and sometimes difficult positions such as climbing ladders, scaffolding and high lift equipment up to 40 feet, working within ducts, crawl spaces, above ceilings, etc.
