- Evidence of the ability to influence to win hearts and minds, whilst focussing on exceeding service expectations by delivering an agile, value adding service, with a deep understanding of stakeholder requirements, technical competence, functional knowledge, and process efficiency.
- A credible leader who can comfortably adapt style to teach, coach, mentor or delegate, as appropriate and has managed large teams.

- Demonstrable stakeholder management skills and effective communicator who can interact with stakeholders at all levels, both internally and externally and influence results and outcomes. Proven ability to develop, maintain and leverage value from an extensive internal and external network and build highly productive working relationships
- A solid understanding of NEC Contracts, Subcontracting and Framework Contract creation and management.
- Experience of Procurement and Commercial management within Construction and Civil Engineering, particularly in Major Projects is desirable
- This role requires substantial commercial knowledge of project procurement and evidence of delivering successful collaborative projects with sub-contractors and suppliers.
- A proven track record understanding commercial management, strategic sourcing, negotiation, process compliance, and supplier integration into project teams. The role will require excellent analytical skills, experienced commercial awareness, a measured approach to decision making and the ability to ensure best value Procurement.
- Demonstrable analytical skills, numerically astute with well-developed problem-solving abilities
- Experience of working with the supply chain to deliver the right culture and behaviours
- An understanding of legal frameworks and contract law is essential
- Evidence of having developed and implemented change programmes and new ways of working.
- Results Driven-demonstrates a passion and excitement for their work with the ability to plan and deliver against bid / project milestones. Tackles problems head-on and works to resolve them without delay
