The Engineer will design, develop, and establish injection molds and fixtures for PVC, CPVC, and UPVC fittings. The role covers the entire lifecycle from concept through supplier and in‑house mold establishment, including feasibility studies, design reviews, and quality verification.
- Conduct manufacturing feasibility studies from 3D models and generate DFM reports.
- Create mould specification sheets for supplier quotations.
- Develop mould design concepts for PVC, CPVC, and UPVC fittings using 3D models and 2D drawings.
- Estimate required moulding machine capacity and manufacturing processes.
- Perform mould design reviews, including flow analysis, and provide feedback to suppliers.
- Support toolmakers with design assistance to enable low‑cost supplier selection.
- Propose innovative ideas to reduce mould cost and lead‑time.
- Identify failure modes and implement corrective actions.
- Monitor tool development schedule and ensure adherence to timelines.
- Attend mould try‑outs to verify quality of moulds, fixtures, and parts.
- Conduct root‑cause analysis and preventive actions to eliminate defects.
- Develop mould design checklists and standard formats.

- 10–15 years of experience in plastic injection mould design, development, manufacturing, and processing.
- Diploma or bachelor’s degree in Tool Design (NTTF, GTTC, CIPET).
- Proficient in CREO 3D for mould design and AutoCAD for 2D drawings.
- Experienced with mould flow analysis and interpretation of reports.
- Knowledge of hot‑runner systems, mould accessories, and manufacturing processes.
- Understanding of machining and related mould manufacturing techniques.
- Strong problem‑solving skills and ability to identify failure modes.
- Flexible to travel as needed; excellent verbal and written communication.
- Basic computer literacy; experience with PVC, CPVC, UPVC is a plus.
