Tasks
-Complete Safety Training requirements -Clean and organize shop area. Maintain inventory of spare parts and material. Maintain tools and equipment for maintenance work -Plans layout of wiring and installs wiring, conduit, and electrical apparatus in buildings -A successful candidate will be required to assist and when possible, work solo on the maintenance and repair of electrical equipment and power and lighting systems in the plant including motors, generators, transformers, controls and mechanisms, timing devices, switches, cables and conduits, communicating, recording and alarm systems under the guidance of a Level 1 Electrician -Maintain, organize, and control inventory supplies tools and equipment -May make functional tests to determine that the electricity powered or electrically controlled machines or equipment operate properly after installation or repair -Lifting and Carrying: Moving heavy equipment, materials, and tools is a regular part of the job. This can involve lifting objects weighing anywhere from a few pounds to over 50 pounds. -Performs preventative maintenance tasking on all electrical utilities and equipment -Responsible for accurate and timely paperwork related to essential duties and responsibilities -Work on energized circuits when required (Under NFPA Safety Guidelines) -Determine horsepower requirements, line loads, material requirements, etc. -Use various types of testing equipment to locate and correct malfunctions

-Strength and Endurance: Electricians frequently perform physically demanding tasks such as lifting heavy equipment and materials, carrying tools, and working in awkward positions. This demands a good level of strength and endurance. -Achieved Fork truck and aerial lift equipment certification or ability to obtain -Tolerance to Environmental Conditions: Electricians may work in various environmental conditions, including extreme temperatures, confined spaces, or exposure to dust and noise. -HS Diploma and must be successfully enrolled in and/or completed accredited technical school -Safety Protocols: The ability to follow safety protocols rigorously to prevent workplace accidents or injuries is essential. This includes wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and practicing safe work habits. -Mobility and Agility: Electricians must navigate different work environments, including climbing ladders, working in confined spaces, bending, kneeling, and crouching to access electrical components and systems. -Working at Heights: Electricians may need to work at heights, such as on scaffolding or elevated platforms, to install or repair electrical systems. This demands comfort and safety adherence in elevated positions. -Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals, Ability log work orders. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or associates of organization -Standing and Movement: The job often requires prolonged periods of standing while working on installations or repairs. Frequent movement within a job site is common. -Manual Dexterity: Precision and nimbleness are essential for handling small components, wiring, and tools. Tasks may include intricate wiring connections or working with small parts requiring fine motor skills. -Vision and Hearing: Good vision and hearing are crucial for identifying issues, reading diagrams, and following safety protocols. -Must be able to utilize mobile communication devices (ie: iPad, Phone, and email) -Valid Driver's License -Communication: While not solely physical, effective communication with team members, supervisors, and clients is vital to ensure project requirements are understood and followed. -Will be assisted by Level 1 Electrician as need and have completed work verified by supervisor or Level 1 Electrician -Familiar with Lock Out Tag Out procedures -One to Three (3) years related experience and training, or equivalent combination of education and experience -Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, proportions to practical situations, and read a tape measure.
