  • Operating the high pressure jetting equipment
  • Designate Emergency Rescue Team
  • Cleaning (jetting) tanker
  • Ensure appropriate emergency procedures are in place
  • Stop work and withdraw personnel and equipment if for any reason the conditions of the Confined Space change and/ or the agreed procedure or permit cannot be met
  • Undertake Face Fit testing on a regular basis and remain clean shaven when required to enter Confined Spaces
  • Entering confined space into the tanker
  • Assessing tanker for work to be carried out

  • All entry documentation is completed
  • Previous experience in drainage
  • Ideally hold a High Pressure Jetting Ticket
  • Understand and accept permits to work
  • Operatives are medically fit on the day of the planned entry (colds and respiratory illness can affect a person’s ability to wear breathing apparatus - this also includes clean shaven)
  • All safety equipment is inspected, calibrated, tested and available in good working order
  • Report to the manager/authorised person of any incident, dangerous occurrence defects of other exceptional incidents occurring during the work in Confined Spaces
