Finance Manager

Description

The Finance Manager will oversee day‑to‑day financial analysis for a portfolio of managed data center facilities, working closely with the finance team, account directors, site leaders, and customers to deliver accurate reporting and strategic insights. The ideal candidate brings proven financial business partnering experience, strong modeling skills, and proficiency with financial systems and tools.

• Manage and prepare internal budgets for each data center in the portfolio.
• Collaborate with Account Directors, site leaders, and customers to control costs within approved budgets.
• Review monthly financial results and work with accounting and operations to ensure clarity.
• Produce timely monthly financial reports and insightful variance analysis for individual and consolidated data centers.
• Prepare and submit internal forecasts (monthly, quarterly, annual) for each data center.
• Process and review monthly customer payroll billing, ensuring accurate submission per contracts.
• Reconcile customer billings to job costs and the general ledger each month.
• Provide financial data to Account Directors and site leaders for external customer forecasts.
• Lead weekly meetings with Account Directors to discuss financial matters and follow‑up actions.
• Participate in periodic business review meetings with customers’ executive teams to present results and forecasts.
• Document and oversee financial policies and processes for specific customer deliverables.
• Review non‑billable expenses with Account Directors to ensure contract compliance.
• Generate weekly accounts receivable reports for each customer.
• Track and maintain purchase‑order‑level financial records for each customer.
• Support process improvement, automation, and systems integration projects as assigned.
• Ensure adherence to financial laws, guidelines, and confidential information handling.

Requirements

Candidates must hold a bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field and have at least four years of relevant experience; an MBA or experience with data center finance and NetSuite is considered a plus.

Key competencies include deep knowledge of finance and accounting principles, advanced Excel and financial software skills, analytical thinking, meticulous attention to detail, proactive relationship building, customer‑focused hospitality, strong organizational and leadership abilities, and the capacity to handle confidential information with professionalism.

The role requires continuous computer work and occasional travel (under 10%) to off‑site customer locations.

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field (required); MBA a plus.
• Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience, preferably as a financial business partner.
• Experience with data center finance, NetSuite, or similar ERP systems is advantageous.
• Advanced proficiency in MS Excel, MS Office, and financial management software.
• Strong analytical, forecasting, and problem‑solving abilities.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks under strict deadlines and work independently.
• Willingness to travel up to 10% to off‑site customer locations.
