The position manages subcontractor price negotiations and contracts within the assigned division, playing a key role in the purchasing function and overall project delivery.
The role involves preparing bid packages, negotiating contracts, maintaining scopes of work, controlling budgets, managing trade assignments and vendor quality, performing cost take‑offs, operating JD Edwards daily, maintaining cost data for community specifications, and supporting new home design and value‑engineering processes.
A bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent experience is required, along with a minimum of five years in purchasing or estimating, developing accurate construction estimates, and negotiating material and labor contracts.
