Cut off old rubber, composite, ceramic, PU, and other covers.
Install fusor or other end treatments when needed.
Keep machine and area clean.
Remove full thickness samples from roll covers
Cut locking grooves per SPI specifications when needed.
Learn to operate new equipment if/when upgraded.
Cut grooves in covers.
Complete paperwork as necessary on factory orders and roll receiving reports.

Reporting to the Plant Superintendent the Lathe Operator works proficiently with others, but also has the ability to work well independently. The Lathe Operator will have the ability to safely and efficiently operate lathe and roll rotating equipment.

Sand rolls with belt sander when needed.
Trim and Skim rolls to pre-grind specifications
Education: High school Diploma or equivalent.
Be willing and able to proficiently perform all tasks with or without supervision.
Ability to perform other maintenance, housekeeping, painting and miscellaneous tasks as needed and or as directed by supervisor
