Property Manager, Senior Living

Description

• Coordinate and monitor maintenance requests, unit inspections, and vendor services
• Collaborate with senior service providers or resident support programs when applicable
• Manage property budget, collect rent, process invoices, and submit required reports
• Supervise on-site staff and vendors, conducting training and performance reviews as needed
• Lead leasing efforts, including applicant screening, waitlist management, and annual recertifications
• Serve as primary point of contact for residents, family members, and partner agencies
• Maintain accurate resident files and timely reporting to housing authorities or compliance entities
• Ensure compliance with applicable housing regulations (e.g., HCV, LIHTC, Fair Housing, ADA)
• Foster a welcoming and respectful environment for residents and visitors
• Oversee daily operations of a senior housing property in accordance with HUD and PHA policies

Requirements

The Property Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of operations at the community, including resident relations, leasing, maintenance coordination, regulatory compliance, and financial performance. This position requires a compassionate, organized, and knowledgeable professional with a strong understanding of affordable housing programs and the unique needs of older adult residents.

• Strong understanding of Fair Housing, reasonable accommodations, and tenant rights
• High school diploma or GED required; additional coursework or certifications (e.g., CPO, TCS, or Fair Housing) preferred
• 3+ years of experience in residential property management (senior housing preferred)
• Prior experience with HUD, PHA, LIHTC, or other government-funded housing programs required
• Strong interpersonal and organizational skills, with a compassionate, professional demeanor
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and property management software (RealPage, OneSite, Yardi, or similar)
