The IT Manager (ITM) is responsible for the smooth operation of all computer systems within required specifications, costs, and timelines. The role includes supervising implementation and maintenance of the company's overall computing needs.
The IT Manager oversees information technology and computer systems, designing and deploying servers (both on‑site and Azure), networks, printers, and mobile devices. They develop and enforce policies using existing SOPs, plan strategic IT resources, monitor system performance, and schedule maintenance to reduce downtime. Procurement of hardware focuses on cost‑effectiveness and quality, while software updates are tested, managed, and scheduled. Collaboration with EMCOR provides access to corporate resources, and the manager creates onboarding documentation for various platforms. Data security responsibilities include backups, antivirus, patching, access permissions, and intrusion protection, along with regular system audits. The manager also leads IT staff through training, coaching, performance appraisals, task assignment, and asset management.
Candidates must hold a BS/BA in Computer Engineering/Science or equivalent experience and have at least five years in an IT management role. Required expertise includes Active Directory, current Windows OS, Office 365, mobile device management, Cisco networking, and Azure/cloud environments. The position demands outstanding communication and customer service skills, excellent organization and time management, and the ability to multitask in a fast‑paced environment. The role requires regular walking, standing, sitting, talking, hearing, and use of hands for keyboards and tools. Employees must be able to reach, climb, stoop, kneel, and lift up to 30 pounds, and possess full vision capabilities. The job involves commuting to site locations and may expose staff to mechanical parts, fumes, airborne particles, and outdoor weather, though noise levels are typically minimal.
The position offers a competitive salary ranging from $110K to $135K, based on qualifications and experience, and is bonus‑eligible.
